A loving tribute to Lilly—and the beginning of a movement created to help families find information, resources, and a path forward when a beloved animal has been harmed.

Lilly was a beautiful nine-and-a-half-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a joyful, loving spirit. To Amy and Cody, she was not simply a pet—she was their child, their companion, and an irreplaceable part of their family.
She was affectionate, full of personality, and seemed to understand when someone needed comfort. Those who loved her remember the happiness she brought into their lives and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
Before Lilly became the center of a heartbreaking story, she was simply a little dog who was deeply loved.
That is how she deserves to be remembered.
On September 11, 2026, Lilly was brought to a veterinary office in Cedar City, Utah, for what was supposed to be a routine allergy injection.
Her family was already grieving the recent loss of their 16-year-old dog, Remy, whose remains were also being brought to the office for cremation.
According to Lilly’s family, her appointment for the allergy injection was confirmed when they arrived. However, through a tragic series of miscommunications, Lilly was mistakenly euthanized.
The veterinarian later acknowledged that a major error had occurred, apologized to the family, and stated that steps would be taken to ensure that something like this would never happen again.
No apology can return Lilly to the people who loved her. But her story can encourage greater awareness, stronger safeguards, clearer communication, and meaningful changes that may help protect another animal.

Lilly’s story is not defined only by the way her life ended.
She was playful, loving, comforting, and completely unique. She filled her family’s home with companionship, personality, and joy.
These photographs and memories show the Lilly her family knew—the little girl who was treasured throughout her life and whose love will never be replaced.
That is the Lilly we want the world to remember.
Amy and Cody loved Lilly as their child. In this interview with FOX 13 News, they share who Lilly was, what happened during her final veterinary visit, and what they hope other pet owners and veterinary professionals will learn from her story.
This interview gives Lilly’s family the opportunity to speak in their own words—and allows the world to understand the life and love behind the headlines.
I will also be sitting down with Amy and Cody for a longer personal interview about Lilly’s life, their experience, and what they hope can be changed in her memory.
Sometimes words alone cannot hold the depth of love, grief, and loss a family experiences.
I created this original song and video in loving memory of Lilly—to honor her life, the family who will always carry her in their hearts, and the hope that her story may help protect other animals.
May Lilly’s memory continue to reach hearts and remind the world that every animal’s life has value.
This song is available as a complimentary download. No payment or contribution is required.
Please listen, download it, and share it so Lilly’s story continues to reach others.
Lilly did not have to be famous for her life to matter.
She mattered because she was alive.
She mattered because she was loved.
She mattered because she was family.
Her loss has touched people far beyond her home—not only because of what happened, but because so many people understand the bond between a person and an animal they love.
Lilly cannot be brought home. But her story can become part of something meaningful—something that helps another family find answers, support, and a way forward.
Justice for Lilly is more than a call for accountability in one heartbreaking case.
It is the beginning of a movement and developing resource initiative for pet owners whose animals have been harmed through preventable errors, negligence, mistreatment, or other serious incidents.
Families experiencing a sudden tragedy are often left in shock, grief, and confusion. They may not know which records to request, how to document what happened, where to report an incident, or whom they can contact for guidance.
Justice for Lilly seeks to make those first steps easier to understand—and to help families know that they are not alone.
Amy and Cody are grieving an unimaginable loss. Those who would like to support them directly may contribute through their official GoFundMe.

After people began asking how they could help honor Lilly and support her family, I created a special collection featuring my original Lilly artwork. These pieces are for those who would like something tangible to remember her by—and to help keep her story visible.
My online shop also features other pieces of my original artwork inspired by animals, remembrance, advocacy, healing, and causes close to my heart.
I have been personally involved in charitable work for more than 25 years, helping animals and people in need. That work continues today through animal rescues and emergencies, veterinary care, food and essential household needs, disaster assistance, and other urgent situations.
Fourthwall produces, fulfills, and ships every item, and I receive a portion of each sale. Twenty-five percent of my net proceeds from every Justice for Lilly T-shirt will be donated directly to Lilly’s family through their official GoFundMe. The remaining proceeds help support my independent artwork, advocacy, content creation, website, and the time, tools, services, and assistance involved in continuing this work.
If you would prefer for your entire contribution to go directly to Lilly’s family, their official GoFundMe is also linked here on my website, and I will continue sharing and promoting it.
Whether you wear her name, share her story, pray for her family, or simply help keep her memory visible, every form of support matters.
Remember her name. Tell her story. Help protect others in her honor.
